Great History Of Our Campus
Mount Kenya Academy was started in 1982 by Mr. & Mrs. Charles Mwangi at the Nyeri Kindergarten site in Nyeri town. The school moved to its present site in 1983.
Ever since the first MKA class sat KCPE examination in 1988, the Junior School has ranked among the most successful schools in Kenya on KCPE performance.
Mount Kenya Academy is divided into Junior School and Senior School, both with individual facilities and programs to cater to all students’ needs.
JUNIOR SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
Mount Kenya Academy Junior School offers the Kenya National Curriculum, enriched with additional subjects and programs. Classrooms are student-centered, allowing teachers to give personalized attention to each student. SENIOR SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
Mount Kenya Academy Senior School provides both the Cambridge International Curriculum and the Kenyan National Curriculum.
