Academics

The Kenya Certificate Primary Education (KCPE) National Curriculum is enriched by offering additional academic subjects such as French, Information Technology, Environmental Science, Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Sports etc Reading receives major emphasis at MKA.

Academic Excellence

Extensive libraries are continuously expanded at both schools. Academic excellence is achieved by careful selection of a well-educated, compassionate faculty of men and women. Small classes (averaging 25 students) enable teachers to provide individual attention to every student. Remedial classes are offered so that each child’s potential is fully realized.

Academic Curriculum

Mount Kenya Academy is a student-centered school, which helps each pupil discover and develop his or her individual talents. Students are given opportunities to work with others, to lead, to meet deadlines, to perform before audiences, to compete and to make individual commitments to one or more of a wide variety of co-curricular activities.

KCPE 2016 Results

In the 2016 KCPE Exam we had 73 candidates. 14 students scored over 400 marks out of 500. We have the top boy with 429 and 5 students out of the Top 10 in Nyeri County.
